ABC Will Provide Oscars Live Stream, With Restrictions

ABC TV has announced that it will be providing live stream of 86th Oscars for web and mobile devices but the stream will be restricted to subscribers of certain cable providers and also to specific cities.

According to Variety magazine, Oscars Live stream from ABC will be restricted to only Watch ABC users and the subscribers of the following cable companies will be able to watch this:

  1. AT&T U-verse,
  2. Cablevision,
  3. Charter Communications,
  4. Comcast,
  5. Cox Communications,
  6. Google Fiber,
  7. Midcontinent Communications
  8. and Verizon FiOS.

The live stream will be restricted to areas of San Francisco, Los Angles, Chicago, Calif. Raleigh-Durham, Houston, New York, N.C. and Philadelphia.

Behind the scene coverage will be available to all users without restriction via 15 backstage cameras. Oscars backstage feed will be provided with a delay of up to 10 minutes.

Subscribers in above regions and with the above mentioned cable services can access live Oscars stream from ABM.com, Oscar.com, WatchABC.com and Watch ABC iOS app.
