Amazon, like previous years, has again disclosed the most popular holiday gift list based on purchases by its customers. And going by Amazon, the number of Elsa dolls purchased was enough to match the size of Cinderella’s castle more than 855 times.
The annual press release by Amazon follows the Christmas and highlights the most important aspects about the recent holiday season by Amazon. The press release does not disclose anything about the profits or sales but is a clear indication of how much activity was generated on Amazon website. And it is definitely a very useful insight into what items made to the top of holiday gifts lists this Christmas.
Sparkle Princess Elsa Doll based on the “Frozen” movie from Walk Disney was the most popular in toys. GoPro’s wearable video cameras were a hit this year. Chromebooks outsold Microsoft’s Surface by a wide margin. In TV’s 32 inch LED TVs from Samsung were most popular. Top kindle books included “Gone Girl” and “The Burning Room.”
Maleficent and Guardians of the Galaxy were the most popular movie DVDs. The most popular video game was “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” from Activision Blizzard. And anything “Frozen” themed was a popular hit this year in the holiday gift lists at Amazon.
