Here is What Apple Announced at WWDC

WWDC 2014Today apple kick started its WWDC conference with a keynote address of about two hours wherein some big news were shared with the developers. If you are wondering what are the most important announcements by Apple at WWDC, here is a summary for you:

  • The next version of iOS named iOS 8 will be available this fall
  • OS X has also got its next release named OS X Yosemite. The beta version is available to developers and public can sign up for beta during summer. Final product will be available this fall.
  • You can send messages and make calls from your Mac after you pair it up with iPhone.
  • A new health  app named Healthkit has been announced by Apple.
  • Apple has announced its own cloud storage service named iCloud Drive.
  • iMessage gets new features with ability to send audio and video clips.
  • Homekit has also been announced which is a new home automation system by Apple.
  • A new tool for developers has been announced named Swift which is likely to make creation of apps easier.
  • Developers will also get a new tool called Metal for creation of 3d games for iPads and iPhones.
