Apple Will Get 30% Share from Office 365 Subscriptions for iPad

powerpointforipadApple has confirmed that it will get 30 percent share from the subscriptions of Microsoft Office 365 which will be purchased via its iPad Office app, tech blog Re/code has reported.

Microsoft has followed a freemium model for launch of its Office for iPad apps which means that users can view the documents of Word, Excel and Powerpoint without paying anything in Office for iPad app but if they want to edit a document they will need to buy an Office 365 subscription which currently is priced at $99.99 per year or $9.99 on month to month basis.

Apple will not get any profit from already existing Office 365 subscriptions or those subscriptions who are purchased via Microsoft website.

This apple share had been one of the reasons why Microsoft delayed launch of its office suite for ipad.
