Facebook to Build a Big Data Center in Danish City of Odense

A Danish news website has reported that Facebook is going to build a data center in Denmark to store and manage its ever growing trove of videos, photos and people’s timelines.

This data center will be Facebook’s third outside the United States. It will be a big data center measuring 184,000 square meter in the city of Odense, which also happens to be the birthplace of famous writer Hans Christian Andersen. The Danish news website Fyens.dk also said that this will create about 1,200 jobs.

Earlier Facebook has constructed a data center in Sweden in the year 2013 and work on another data center is also currently underway in Ireland.
