Google has said that it has acquired Divide, a smartphone management company that helps companies manage personal smartphones of employees.
A blog post on Divide website also confirmed that the it was joining the Android team of Google. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
This acquisition can help Google make further progress in the corporate offerings. Android currently powers 3 out of 4 smartphones through out the world.
The mobile app offered by Divide allows separation of personal and corporate data on the same smartphone which helps companies manage different devices that employees are using more and more on job.
Divide is a four year old company with a recent funding round of $25 million with Google Ventures being the lead venture capital firm.
