Google Nexus 5 was the last flagship Android smartphone from Google. And now again the refreshed model of the Google Nexus 5 has taken the form of Google Nexus 5X and it is still manufactured by LG.

The famous site iFixit has released their finding of the teardown of the new model and they have been very pleased with the modular structure of the phone.

  • 1.8 Ghz Qlacommm snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor
  • 3GB LPDDR3 Ram
  • 12.3Mp camera from Sony
  • USB Type-C style data and charging port and Nexux Imprint scanner

There is lack of adhesive at the back which means removing the back cover is easier. Inside the midframe, camera, fingerprint and battery are all there for disassembly. USB Type-C port has been soldered onto the main mother board which means, you will need to replace the motherboard in case of issues.

LCD and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 are fused together which means these can be replaced as a single part only. Nexus 5X has got a repairability rating of 7 out of 10.
