Google has announced at an even in New York today that it is going to bring the Buy button to sponsored search results which will lets users make purchases directly from search results from their smartphones. The feature has been named Purchases on Google.
Google will process all the payment and payment information will also stored at Google servers. Even the checkout pages will be hosted by google for a product ad featuring Purchases on Google.
Initially there will be around a dozen retailers that Google will partner with. According to Business Insider, Google will directly take the user to eBay or other buying apps when clicking a sponsored ad.
Google is focusing on other aspects of online shopping too. For example, Google Now is going to add two new cards displaying reviews of the products and for keeping track of price of the product so that you can buy it whenever there is a sale.
