According to a Chinese tech website EXPreview, Intel will soon launch its processors of 4GHz speed which will replace the current line of Core i7 processors.
The new higher speed processor is reportedly part of a series of products that Intel is going to launch in June this year. Two of the high end processors are codenamed Devil’s Canyon and are called Core i5-4690K and Core i7-4790K. The latter one will be touching the speeds of 4 GHz. In fact, when under performance pressure, the CPU will in fact clock up to speeds of 4.4 GHz.
The i5 model will have base speed of 3.5 GHz and Turbo boost speed of 3.9 GHz. It is also reported that the new processors will manage heat problem in a better way because this problem has plagued the present generation of Intel Ivy Bridge and Haswell processors.
It can be conjectured that these new processors will touch speeds of 5 GHz when overclocked under cooled conditions.
