Microsoft Office 365 to Support Digital Signatures

Soon Microsoft Office 365 users shall be able to digitally sign documents and submit these, all from within their Microsoft apps. office 365

Microsoft has announced that it has entered into a “long term strategic partnership” with DocuSign’s eSignature apps which will be integrated with Microsoft Office 365. It is expected that Word, Outlook and Sharepoint apps with this feature will arrive at the Office Store in March this year. A statement from Microsoft said:

“This partnership with DocuSign helps our customers keep transactions digital and manage eSignatures seamlessly from within Office 365, where they already communicate, collaborate, and create.”

This latest feature of digital signatures shall be another addition to many enhancements that have been made to Microsoft Office products recently. The company also announced earlier in the week that it was going to extend the facility of multifactor authentication to all users of Office 365 in an effort to reduce online fraud and identity theft. It also announced in November last year that it will allow encryption of messages for Office 365 users which will allow users to send encrypted emails to other users regardless of the destination email.
