North Korea Calls Obama a ‘Monkey’ Over its Internet Outage

Kim Jong-Un clappingNorth Korea, in a hate filled statement on Saturday, has termed United States President Barack Obama a ‘monkey’ and accused the country of orchestrating the internet outage that North Korea has experienced for so many days recently.

AFP has reported that a spokesman for Nation Defense Commission of North Korea has said in a statement, also published by KCNA, the official news agency of North Korea.

“Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest.”

All main internet sites in North Korea experienced major disruptions earlier in the week, which experts have attributed to either technical issues or DDOS. However, these outages occurred at a time when the tensions between United States and North Korea are very high because of the deadly cyberattack on Sony Pictures.

The NDC spokesman called the North Korean internet outages a “laughable” and cowardly attack. He went on to say:

“The United States, with its large physical size and oblivious to the shame of playing hide and seek as children with runny noses would, has begun disrupting the Internet operations of the main media outlets of our republic.”

The internet service in North Korea started experiencing problems from last weekend and there was then a complete outage of almost 9 hours on Tuesday.

Very people, mostly country’s elite and government officials, have internet access in North Korea.
