Russia Today website has been hacked and defaced, the Russian news station announced on its Twitter account. It wrote on Twitter: “RT website has been hacked, we are working to resolve the problem.”
The website was defaced and the text was replaced with “Nazi” and “Nazis” words in place of “Russia” and “Russians.” No hacking group has claimed responsibility for this.
This hacking of Russia Today, a pro-Kremlin news group, has happened after 24 hours of Russia’s announcement of using military force against Ukrain’s Crimea. The news coverage of the news station has been heavily tilted towards President Putin’s use of force. Putin has said that the force is being used to “protect the people.”
