The next flagship phone from Samsung, Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a fingerprint sensor embedded within its home button at the front, Sam Mobile has reported.
This housing of fingerprint sensor at the home button is similar to the one available in Apple’s iPhone 5S. But in case of Samsung Galaxy S5, you will need to swipe your finger across the home button while in case of iPhone 5S, you just need to place your finger on the home button to unlock.
Sam Mobile has also claimed that the fingerprint sensor of Galaxy S5 will warn the user when his fingers will be wet and prompt him to dry his fingers to use fingerprint sensor for unlocking phone.
Previous rumors had it that the fingerprint sensor of Galaxy S5 will be based on the screen of device. But given the strong track record of Sam Mobile related to Samsung leaks, there is likelihood that it will be based at the home button.
Samsung is scheduled to formally launch Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 24th.
