Samsung to Launch Two New Smart watches Next Week

Samsung has plans to unveil two new Samsung Galaxy smart watches at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, according to reports from The Verge and USA TodaySamsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch

It is also reported that one of the smart watches shall be powered by Tizen, which is an open source OS which is being built with help from Samsung. Current Galaxy Gear is powered by Android OS. With Tizen powered it will be theoretically possible to sync these with devices other than Android based devices too.

Galaxy Gear was launched last fall but received poor response and a lot of criticism because of multiple issues like bulky design, limited functions and disappointing battery life. Samsung has updated the underlying software in an effort to address those issues.

Samsung has earlier stated that it has plans to launch its next Galaxy Gear with the launch of the next version of its flagship phone, Galaxy S5. All these new devices will say the light of the day at Samsung’s press conference to be held at Mobile World Congress on February 24th.
