Samsung has launched its music radio service named Milk Music which pitches it in direct competition to already established names like Spotify, Panodora and many other music streaming companies.
Milk Music is officially launched and can be downloaded on Google Play Store. This is an ad free app and is free for listening.
While music streaming is an area where there is huge growth but it is a competitive field to enter too. It has already companies like Spotify which are globally recognized and services like Pandora which have huge audience base. There are others like Beats Music which have an excellent marketing structure to back them.
Milk at present is only available for customers of Samsung Galaxy and it is being only offered at the moment in US. But that is how Apple’s iTunes Radio also started. But there is every chance that Samsung will make Milk Music Radio available worldwide and to other devices too.
Milk Music does not offer the option to buy tracks but you can stack up your mobile with tracks for offline listening too.
This is clearly a product launched to keep competing with Apple whose Radio service launched last September.
