T-Mobile has said that response to its upgrade program targeted towards BlackBerry users has received a 15 times more response than in case of other platforms.
And it should not be a surprise that most of these upgraders are dumping Blackberry smartphones and opting for other platforms.
According to an internal TMobile memo, reported by TmoNews, 94 percent of the customers who are opting for the promotion are switching over to other devices and away from BlackBerry.
BlackBerry CEO had taken offense to an earlier email promotion of T-Mobile in which it had urged BlackBerry users to switch over to Apple iPhone 5S with $0 down.
The complaint from BlackBerry CEO John Chen led to T-Mobile trying to pacify BlackBerry users with this new promotion wherein T-Mobile is giving away $200 credit if the customers trades-in their old BlackBerry device and upgrade to a newer device. The customer gets another $50 credit if he or she opts for a BlackBerry Z10 or BlackBerry Q10 in the upgrade.
It looks like despite all the complaints from BlackBerry CEO, there are many BlackBerry who are looking for opportunity to switch over to other platforms.
